SCENARIO: You just attended a conference and have pages and pages of notes.
You don’t know why you always take so many notes,
you know you never re-visit the notes, and
you want to know what to do with them.
CONFERENCE ATTENDEE ACTION: Forget about the notes for a moment.
Zoom out and think of the conference as a whole.
Think about when you were in the sessions.
Did you have any key moments of “aha” or “I want to know more” or “I need to do that!”?
Take all your notes and condense them down to just 3 actions you want do from things your learned, felt, or did during the conference.
An action could be directly related to the conference content or it could center on reaching out to connections you made at the conference.
MAKE IT VISUAL: Draw a picture of light bulb and write out the top 3 actions/goals you want to commit to doing.
No more. After you finish the 3, you could always re-visit and add to the list, but in order to insure you have essential focus on making any moves, stick with 3 to start.
Then draw a quick icon of each item and use this icon as a motivating visual on your to-do list or just in your mind.
INSIDER INFO: This is the first exercise I walk participants through in my Maximizing Your Conference Investment workshop.
