SCENARIO: Sitting at your desk all day, staring at a computer screen, is boring.

MANAGER ACTION: Invoke some imaginative play by asking your team where they would choose to go on an adult field trip.
MAKE IT VISUAL: Draw a picture of a bus and then record answers all around the bus. (or you can use my drawing).
MAKE IT REALITY: This won’t be possible for everyone, but now you have a list, participation buy-in, and ideas that you didn’t have to come up with for team bonding activities.
INSPIRATION: After one of the hundredth times my 2 year old son enthusiastically pointed out “yellow school bus” while driving, I let my mind wonder, “what if we did get to go on adult field trips with work”.
Creating visuals doesn’t have to be hard or take up a lot of time. Go for the low hanging fruit, make it simple, and use inspiration from your daily life to make it FUN for YOU.
