SCENARIO: We all have so much to do and so little time.

Next time you are using a big chunk of time to attend a meeting, conference, training, etc; spend 5 to 10 minutes before it starts to name what you hope to gain from it. Why are you doing it? Set your own objectives or write out how you intend to apply the content. This helps you be intentional and focused with your time.

MAKE IT VISUAL

  • Draw yourself twice on a piece of paper
  • On one side draw a low bar
  • On the other side draw a high bar
  • Label the bars with what you want to gain/learn/get at minimum and then what you want as a maximum

AS A HOST:

If you are hosting any of these big time commitment events, kick it off with this exercise and walk your attendees through naming their low-bar and high-bar.
