Continuing with the PLAN Your Meetings: L in PLAN is for Limit.
L FOR LIMIT
Happens before you send out any invitations.
Take a moment to verify you are being selective aka limited.
What to Limit:
- Time. Keep the meeting length to what is necessary to accomplish the objective. If you only need 15 minutes, only take 15 minutes.
- People you are inviting. Does everyone there have a direct impact to the objective? People don’t want to be in your meeting if they don’t need to be. Will everyone get a chance to be a participant?
- Topics covered in meeting. Again, look at the purpose, objectives, and actions. Keep your topics directly related to them. And keep those limited to one or two per meeting.
