Post 8: TAKING ACTION AFTER CONFERENCES

Scenario: You just registered for a conference that you are so excited about ðŸ˜„! You already pinned ðŸ“Œ which breakouts you want to attend and ordered a new notebook to take a ton a notes in ðŸ““.

Default Option: You block off your calendar ðŸ“† for the conference dates right away, so you know you’ll be available for the entire conference program.

A HMMM Option: You also block off 1 to 2 hours âŒš the week AFTER the conference. This will give you designated time to reflect ðŸ¤” on and start to process all you’ve learned. Then you can consider how you want to apply the information ðŸ’« now that you are back in your day to day. Finally, you design an action plan ðŸ’ª to integrate your key takeaways and block off additional time on your calendar ðŸ—“ to implement those action plan items. Thus, maximizing the investment you made ðŸ’µ in time and money to attend the conference.

NOTE: If you are a conference planner and reading this post, I have designed a workshop that would be beneficial for most conferences. This workshop will guide your attendees through action planning! See the Conference Facilitation page for more information.
