Scenario: You aren’t unfamiliar with Zoom meetings. You have the mute/unmute feature down and you occasionally implement a breakout room. But you are looking for more ways to connect with attendees in these meetings and what you’re doing doesn’t quite accomplish what you’d hope.
Default Option: Keep doing what you’re doing. Who knows how long virtual meetings will be a thing. Everyone is used to this by now anyways, it’s been almost 4 years since COVID shut down and we were hoisted into the Zoom world.
A HMMM Option: Block 15 minutes on your calendar this week just to play around with the settings in your virtual meeting platform (Zoom or Teams or something else). You can launch a solo meeting so you can access the options, or invite a fellow leader to play around and explore with you. By taking some time to figure this out now, it will help you feel more confident to implement into your meetings. There are many options like annotate (my favorite), whiteboards, and polls. Pair the DOING with articles that explain how to do it, found with a Google search.
